Buffalo Peak is an 11,594-foot summit in central Colorado's Kenosha Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountains of North America. Located in the Lost Creek Wilderness of Pike National Forest about 7.7 miles west-northwest of Deckers, it is the highest point in Jefferson County. The mountain has been known as Buffalo Peak since 1906; an earlier historical name was Freemans Peak. It remains notable today as a wilderness summit within protected national forest land.
