Scribner Covered Bridge, also called the Mudgett Covered Bridge, is a small historic bridge in eastern Johnson, Vermont, carrying Rocky Road over the Gihon River. Unusual among Vermont covered bridges, it began as an uncovered open pony truss and was enclosed later, preserving a rare example of how a rural crossing was adapted rather than replaced. The single-span queen post truss has distinctive short trusses, no internal bracing, metal-reinforced corner joints, a gabled metal roof, and vertical siding. Concrete abutments and steel I-beams were added in 1960, and the bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
