The founding members of the Morgan Township Fire Department were Earl Bennett, Zelotes Brown, Homer Davis, Leonard Fagaly, Robert L. Kimball, Fred Mabis, Eli Parkhurst, Stanley Scheering, Carl Skjoldager, and Frank L. Tompkins. Frank L. Tompkins served the community of Morgan Township for 34 years, from 1948 to 1982, and was chief during that service.
