The Council Home was the home of the Langdale family. The original home site was 2 mi. west. The family included John Wesley Langdale, 1860 - 1911, Nancy Burnsed Langdale, 1863 - 1913, and their children John, Noah, Marley, Sadie Sandlin, Nancy Campbell, Susie Campbell, and Isabel.
