For many years at this site, Tug and Narda Davis and their family owned and operated the Jonesport Laundromat. The tree here was part of community life, climbed by many local children and present for romance, children at play, and many snowball fights. Those who played here as children were fortunate, and though they have grown up and moved on, Old House Point in Jonesport remains home.
