The Palisades Sill is a fine-grained porphyritic dacite intrusion in northern New Mexico, visible in the Cimarron River canyon between Eagle Nest and Cimarron. It creates the dramatic cliffs and palisades from which it takes its name and is a prominent geologic feature in the eastern part of Cimarron Canyon State Park.
