Majestic Mountain is a 3,086-metre summit in Jasper National Park, Alberta, and the highest point of the Trident Range in the Canadian Rockies. Rising sharply above Circus Valley, it gains about 1,100 metres in just 2.5 kilometres. Morrison P. Bridgland, a Dominion Land Surveyor, made the first recorded ascent in 1915 and named the mountain in 1916; the name appeared in a 1921 climbing guide and was officially adopted in 1951. Formed from sedimentary rock laid down from the Precambrian to the Jurassic and later thrust eastward during the Laramide orogeny, it also marks a divide between drainage flowing to the Athabasca and Miette rivers.
