Kololo Peaks is an eight thousand two hundred-foot mountain in Washington’s North Cascades, on the crest of the range within the Glacier Peak Wilderness. Straddling county and national forest boundaries, it is surrounded by glaciers and meltwater systems that drain toward the White, White Chuck, and Suiattle rivers, giving it the character of an almost nunatak rising from ice. Its setting reflects the broader geologic history of the North Cascades, shaped by tectonic activity, uplift, faulting, and repeated glaciation over millions of years. In the marine west coast climate zone, heavy snowfall and moisture help define this rugged alpine wilderness landscape.
