Harrison Meads presented to the Town of Weston a memorial in memory of the town's soldiers who gave their lives in the War of the Rebellion from 1861 to 1865. It names George E. Meads of Berdans 1st Regiment of Sharpshooters, Company F, who died September 9, 1862, at Alexandria, Virginia, along with A. Abbott, D. Allen, G.A. Beckwith, D.W. Bolster, L.A. Britten, J.P. Bryant, N.O. Cook, G. Fuller, A.H. Hale, J. Hale, R.M. Patch, W.H. Pease, S.P. Peck, M.V. Robbins, H. Stevens, J.H. West, and S.A. Winship.
