From 1794-1897, Westford Academy was located here, with a classroom on each floor. When the second Westford Academy building, now the Roudenbush Community Center, opened in 1897, the original building was left empty. In 1903, abutter John Cameron Abbot bought the building, and in 1907 Henry Otis Keyes bought it and moved it to its present location on Boston Road, where it is now the Westford Museum. Today, an outline of the foundation marks the original site thanks to a recent Eagle Project.
