Kay's Cross in Kaysville, Utah, is the ruined remains of a large stone cross in Kay's Hollow that became a durable landmark of local folklore. Its origins are disputed, with accounts connecting it either to members of the Kingston family in 1946 or to religious leader Krishna Venta, for whom it may have been intended as an unfinished monument. In 1992, about 80 pounds of dynamite badly damaged the structure, and no one was identified as responsible. Over time, the site drew stories of murder, occult rites, strange phenomena, and Satanic panic, giving it a notoriety shaped as much by legend as by documented history.
