East Nooksack Glacier
Nature
East Nooksack Glacier lies on the eastern slopes of Mount Shuksan in Washington's North Cascades National Park. Although only about 0.70 mile long, it fills the upper Nooksack Cirque and extends across more than 2 miles of the high basin. Near 7,800 feet, it connects with Crystal Glacier. The ice stretches between Nooksack Tower on the northwest and Seahpo Peak on the southeast, and its meltwater flows into the Nooksack River. As one of the named glaciers of the Mount Shuksan area, it is part of the rugged glaciated landscape that defines the North Cascades.
