Price Glacier lies on the northeast slopes of Mount Shuksan in North Cascades National Park, below Nooksack Tower. Descending from about 8,600 feet to 4,200 feet, it ranks among the mountain’s most dramatic icefields and is regarded as Mount Shuksan’s steepest and most heavily crevassed glacier. At its lower end, separated masses of ice break into Price Lake and calve small icebergs. The glacier takes its name from William M. Price, honored by The Mountaineers after his climbs of Mount Shuksan in 1906 and 1915.
