Unbelievable Acres Botanic Gardens in West Palm Beach, Florida, is a private nonprofit botanical garden known for concentrating an unusually dense tropical collection on a small urban site of about 1 hectare, or 2.5 acres. Its Tropical Rainforest garden was established in 1970 by Gene Joyner, whose long-term work shaped the property. The plantings developed into one of Florida’s largest private collections of tropical fruit trees, with a canopy reaching about 30 metres, or 100 feet. The garden contains around 2,500 plant varieties, including more than 160 fruit tree varieties, numerous citrus, banana and plantain types, and a wide range of orchids, bromeliads, palms, ferns, and other tropical species.
