Tony Grove Ranger Station Historic District in Cache National Forest preserves an early U.S. Forest Service site with both architectural and conservation significance. Its centerpiece is an original log ranger cabin built around 1907 or between 1907 and 1911, recognized for unusually high craftsmanship in its saw-hewn logs and half-dovetail notching. Additional frame buildings were added in 1937–1939 after the site became the Tony Grove Nursery in 1936. Civilian Conservation Corps crews built nursery facilities there, and the nursery began 1.5 million seedlings for reforesting national forests in Utah and Idaho. In 1942, its nursery stock was distributed to the School of Forestry and fourteen national forests in Region IV.
