Lyme honored its volunteer soldiers and sailors who served in the Civil War from 1861 to 1865, naming local men in the 1st Cavalry, the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 16th, and 18th regiments, and in the U.S. Navy.
