Stagecoach State Park in Colorado lies on the Yampa River about 17 miles south of Steamboat Springs. Established in 1989, it spans 1,641 acres around a 771-acre reservoir formed by Stagecoach Dam. The park includes open water, montane shrublands, riparian areas, and wetlands along the reservoir and river, supporting wildlife such as elk, mule deer, coyote, red fox, and badger. Recreation centers on the reservoir and shoreline, with a marina, boat ramps, campsites, picnic sites, and 8 miles of trails. Together these features make it both a boating destination and a gateway to this part of the Yampa valley.
