Jeremiah Ellis, son of Nathan Ellis (1749-1819), founder of Ellis Ferry, now Aberdeen, Ohio, established the Ellis Family Graveyard on his farm near Ellis’ Landing on the Ohio River in Sprigg Township, Adams County, Ohio, about 1820. With thoughtful affection, those buried there were removed to this dedicated place in 1962.
