Evergreen Mountain in Greene County, New York, lies north of Spruceton and occupies a position between two local drainage systems in the Catskills. West Kill flows westward along its southern side, while Schoharie Creek runs eastward along its northern side. The mountain’s southeastern slopes drain into Herdman Brook, which flows south to join West Kill. Its significance here is geographic and hydrologic: it stands within the watershed pattern of this region at the divide between the West Kill and Schoharie Creek valleys.
