Saint Mary Visitor Center, Entrance Station and Checking Stations forms a National Park Service complex at Glacier National Park’s east entrance on Going-to-the-Sun Road in Montana. Built during the Mission 66 improvement program and completed in 1967, it was designed by Burt L. Gewalt of Brinkman and Lenon in Kalispell. The complex includes the main visitor center, a connected entrance station, and two roadway checking stations. Its Mission 66 architecture combines native stone taken from the road, glulam timber construction, and a roofline shaped to echo nearby peaks. Later renovations restored its original teal, ebony, and peach colors after years beneath standard brown paint.
