The town of Cambridge paid tribute to the men and women who served in the armed forces of the United States to preserve freedom, remembering those who served in World War I from 1917 to 1919, including Nelson R Burnor, Charles M Buskey, and Earl J Montague, who were killed in action, and Alonzo G Powell and Ralph G Nye, who died in service, along with an honor roll of veterans, and also remembering the men and women who served and gave their lives for freedom in World War II from 1941 to 1945, including Urban Gomo, Charles F. Powell, Jr., Leland E. Severance, and Willard H. Tobin, who were killed in action, together with an honor roll of veterans.
