Mount Duckabush is a 6,254-foot peak in Olympic National Park in Washington’s Olympic Mountains. Its northwest slopes form the headwaters of the Duckabush River, linking it to one of the park’s river valleys. The mountain sits in the marine west coast climate zone that influences much of the Olympics, where Pacific weather systems are forced upward by the range and generate heavy rain and snowfall through orographic lift, especially in winter. In summer, stronger high pressure over the Pacific often brings clearer conditions and extended periods with little cloud cover.
