Rockport Reservoir, also known as Wanship Reservoir, is a lake-like reservoir on the Weber River in southwestern Summit County, Utah, within Rockport State Park. Created in the 1950s as part of the Weber Basin project, it was formed by Wanship Dam, an embankment dam built from 1954 to 1957 that stands 175 feet high with a 2,015-foot crest. The reservoir took its name from the former town of Rockport, which was almost entirely submerged when it filled. Today it anchors a 550-acre state park offering fishing, boating, swimming, waterskiing, campgrounds for RVs and tents, and a winter cross-country skiing trail.
