Harry Evans Covered Bridge is a historic covered road bridge in Indiana, about half a mile north of Coxville, carrying a road over Rock Run. Built in 1908 by J.A. Britton, it is a single-span Burr Arch Truss, a durable wooden bridge form widely used for covered bridges. Local tradition disputed which Evans gave the bridge its name, but county records show Harry Evans owned nearby land that stayed in his family until the 1960s. Surrounded by hills once marked by old coal mines, the bridge reflects rural Parke County’s landscape and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
