Green Mountain is a 1,700-foot summit in the Blue Hills on Washington’s Kitsap Peninsula, about seven miles west of downtown Bremerton. It is the second-highest point on the peninsula and in Kitsap County, lower only than nearby Gold Mountain. The peak stands within the 6,000-acre Green Mountain State Forest beside the City of Bremerton watershed. A forest road to the top, open to motorized traffic, makes it more accessible than many similar regional summits. At the summit are a picnic area and wide views east to Seattle and the Cascade Mountains and west to the Olympic Mountains, along with a single microwave tower as of 2014.
