THE STORY
Narrated · Plays hands-free in Travel Mode
Armiesburg was so named because the armies of Gen. Wm. H. Harrison in 1811 and Gen. Saml. Hopkins in 1812 bivouacked nearby. During the era of waterpower it was a busy village, and court was held there before the county was judicially organized.
