Sim Smith Covered Bridge
Science & Tech
Sim Smith Covered Bridge stands east of Montezuma, Indiana, as a historic covered road bridge built in 1883 by Joseph A. Britton. It is a single-span Burr Truss measuring 101 feet long, 16 feet wide, and 14 feet high. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, it represents both the craftsmanship of late 19th-century bridge building and the group of covered bridges that give this part of Indiana much of its historic character.
