Braley Covered Bridge in Randolph, Vermont, carries Braley Covered Bridge Road over the Second Branch of the White River and is a rare example of a bridge altered over time rather than built in its final form at once. Built in 1904 as an uncovered multiple king post truss, it likely received its covering in 1909, a sequence reflected in its unusual structure: the king post truss rises only halfway up the span. One of only two Vermont covered bridges with this trait, it preserves evidence of an uncommon bridge form. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and strengthened with steel I-beams in 1977.
