Union’s first meetinghouse stood here from 1741 to 1844. Its pastors were Ebenezer Wyman from 1738 to 1746, Caleb Hitchcock from 1749 to 1758, Ezra Horton from 1759 to 1788, David Avery from 1796 to 1799, and Nehemiah Beardsley from 1824 to 1831.
