Rangeley Lake State Park is a public recreation area on the southern shore of Rangeley Lake in western Maine. Covering 870 acres in the town of Rangeley and Rangeley Plantation, it was established in 1960 after the Bureau of Parks and Lands assembled three acquisitions totaling 718 acres, including land donated by Oxford County and international paper companies. The park expanded again in 2009 with the addition of 29 acres supported by the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust and the Land for Maine’s Future program. Today it offers camping, swimming, hiking, boating, and access to fishing for landlocked salmon and brook trout.
