Lake Waramaug State Park is a 95-acre public recreation area on the northwest shore of Lake Waramaug in Kent, Connecticut. The state acquired its first 75 acres in 1920, creating one of Connecticut’s public parks on the lake. Designed chiefly for day use and camping, it has long centered on the shoreline setting that defines its purpose. Swimming, fishing, picnicking, camping, and a launch for car-top boating and canoeing make the lake itself the focus of nearly all activity there.
