Leelanau State Park is a one thousand five hundred fifty-acre public recreation area at the tip of Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula, known especially for the Grand Traverse Lighthouse and its connection to the peninsula’s maritime past. Blending scenic shoreline with year-round recreation, the park offers eight and a half miles of trails for hiking and winter skiing, along with picnicking areas, a playground, cabins, and rustic camping. The lighthouse museum gives the park a historic focal point, joining its natural landscape with the region’s maritime heritage.
