Friday Mountain is a Catskill peak in New York's Slide Mountain Wilderness, lying between Cornell Mountain and Balsam Cap. Its slopes form a watershed divide: runoff on the southeast and northeast sides flows through brooks to the Ashokan Reservoir, Esopus Creek, the Hudson River, and New York Bay, while its western side feeds the East Branch of the Neversink River in the Delaware River system. Rising above 3,500 feet, it is one of the 35 summits required for membership in the Catskill Mountain 3500 Club. Because no maintained trail reaches the top, climbers must bushwhack, giving the mountain a distinctive reputation among Catskills peak-baggers.
