Rocky Mountain is a high summit in the Catskill Mountains of Ulster County, New York, within the Slide Mountain Wilderness of Catskill State Park. Rising above 3,500 feet between Lone Mountain and Balsam Cap, it stands near a divide between two major drainage basins: some slopes feed Rondout Creek and ultimately the Hudson River and New York Bay, while others drain to the East Branch of the Neversink River and the Delaware River system. Hikers know it as one of the thirty-five Catskill peaks over 3,500 feet and a required climb for the Catskill Mountain 3500 Club, made especially notable by its lack of a maintained trail.
