Salmon Lake Mountain is a 2,500-foot Adirondack summit west of Long Lake in Hamilton County, New York, best known for its role in forest fire observation. Around 1933, Whitney Park erected a 35-foot Aermotor LX24 tower there. Though privately owned, the tower operated in cooperation with the Conservation Commission for fire watching. Unlike many lookout towers, it had no stairs and was accessed by an exterior ladder. The structure still survives and is significant as one of only a few remaining Aermotor LX24 towers in the United States, but it is in poor condition and closed to the public.
