Binn idir an Dá Log is a 702-metre mountain in Connemara, County Galway, the highest summit in the Maumturk Mountains and a prominent peak within Connemara National Park. Its Irish name, meaning “peak between the two hollows,” reflects the mountain’s form: a long rocky ridge flanked by glacial corries, one containing Lough Maumahoge, with a subsidiary south-eastern top. Its 644-metre prominence gives it special standing among Irish hills, and it is a central objective for walkers on routes through Maumahoge and on the Maamturks Challenge. Shaped by glaciation, it remains one of Connemara’s defining ridge summits.
