Dry Creek Glacier
Nature
Dry Creek Glacier lies in Wyoming’s Shoshone National Forest on Dry Creek Ridge, a high plateau east of the main summits of the Wind River Range. It covers a moderately sloping section of terrain descending from about 12,320 feet to 11,800 feet above sea level, with a small unnamed proglacial lake at its toe. As one of the high-elevation ice bodies in the Wind River region, it forms part of an alpine landscape shaped by ridges, plateaus, and basins.
