Founded in 1936, the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach, Florida, is a nonprofit cultural center whose campus combines galleries, performance space, libraries, offices, and gardens along the Intracoastal Waterway. It serves as both an arts institution and a public green space, with its two libraries functioning as the town’s public libraries. Its botanical gardens, first planned in the 1930s as themed rooms showcasing tropical plants for South Florida landscapes, were later unified by a 1950s master plan, rebuilt after severe hurricane damage in 2004, and continue as demonstration gardens. Nearby, the Philip Hulitar Sculpture Garden extends the organization’s public cultural presence.
