Grant Range Wilderness is a protected wilderness area in central Nevada in Nye County, within the Grant Range. Managed by the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, it encompasses 52,600 acres of remote mountain country. Its most prominent feature is Troy Peak, which at 11,298 feet is the highest point in both the wilderness and the Grant Range. To the south, only a dirt road separates it from the smaller Quinn Canyon Wilderness. As part of Nevada’s system of designated wilderness lands, the area preserves a substantial stretch of rugged and isolated landscape.
