Nicholson’s Manor was patented for 4200 acres on August 6, 1719, to William Nicholson, a gentleman of Anne Arundel County. In 1757, Byron Philpot, Junior, Corbin Lee, Kinsey Johns, and Roger Boyce subdivided it into four equal parts.
