This Greek Revival-styled structure was designed to resemble an Orwell, Vermont, farmhouse admired by museum founder Electra Webb (1888-1960). Its interior recreates six rooms from Electra and J. Watson Webb's 1930s Park Avenue, New York City, apartment, with their arrangements of furniture and decorative and fine arts preserved largely intact. On display are the museum's European art collection, including works by Old Masters, Édouard Manet, and Impressionists Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, and Mary Cassatt. The building also exhibits art from the American West, as well as family photographs, portraits, and memorabilia.
