Constructed on-site in 1960, this fanciful horseshoe-shaped structure was designed to showcase the four thousand-piece, hand-carved miniature Amold Circus Parade, which stretches nearly the full length of the building’s thirty-eight feet, and the intricate, three thousand five hundred-piece miniature three-ring Kirk Bros. Circus. The building also exhibits carousel figures made by the renowned Gusta Dentzel Carousel Company, a colorful selection of circus posters, and an exhibition of twentieth-century circus photos by Elliott Fenander. On view in the east foyer is an exhibit on museum preservation and conservation techniques. The vintage Herschell Spillman carousel operates daily.
