Hiko Springs
Nature
Hiko Springs, also spelled Hyko Springs, is a natural spring in the farming community of Hiko in eastern Nevada. Emerging from a hillside at the north end of the Pahranagat Valley, its cool water supports settlement in an otherwise arid region. The spring’s flow continues for about 5 miles through the valley, where it irrigates local farms, sustains riparian habitat in the Key Pittman Wildlife Management Area, and supplies the small Nesbitt Lake and Frenchie Lake within the state wildlife preserve.
