Ragged Mountain is a distinctive low mountain in central New Hampshire spanning Danbury and Andover, notable for its rough east-west ridge, knobby high points, and unusually craggy surface rather than a single sharp summit. Its highest peak, The Pinnacle, lies in Andover, while another prominent summit supports Ragged Mountain Ski Resort in Danbury. On the eastern end, The Bulkhead forms a 300-foot granite cliff used lightly for rock climbing and known as the region’s last peregrine falcon nesting site. Crossed by the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway, the mountain is valued for hiking, skiing, climbing, and its place within the Merrimack River watershed.
