Winslow State Park is a public recreation area on the northwest slope of Mount Kearsarge in Wilmot, New Hampshire, centered on a picnic ground atop an 1,820-foot plateau with sweeping views toward the White Mountains. Trails from the picnic area lead to the mountain’s summit, and the park also forms part of the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway, linking it to other protected lands in the region. Its name comes from the Winslow House, a 19th-century hotel once located here and named for Admiral John Winslow, commander of USS Kearsarge during the Civil War. Established as a state park in 1935, it remains both a scenic stop and a popular trailhead.
