Manchester, Ohio, was the fourth permanent settlement in Ohio. Wayne Frye recorded flood levels there at 61 feet 2 inches in 1897, 66 feet in 1997, 69 feet 2 inches in 1945, 69 feet 9 inches in 1913, 71 feet 1 inch in 1888, and 80 feet in 1937. The XV Olympics were held in Helsinki in 1952.
