Eightmile Mountain is a 7,996-foot summit in Washington’s Cascade Range, in the Wenatchee Mountains of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Its slopes drain into Trout Creek and Eightmile Creek, which reach Icicle Creek and then the Wenatchee River. Known for spring skiing and wide views of the Stuart Range, it stands in a rugged landscape of sharp ridges, granite walls, deep glacial valleys, and many mountain lakes. This Alpine Lakes setting was shaped by volcanic activity, tectonic accretion, uplift, faulting, and repeated glaciation, with Pleistocene glaciers carving U-shaped valleys and the last major retreat beginning about 14,000 years ago.
