White Cloud joined the herd at the National Buffalo Museum, where the animals are not confined but allowed to roam freely in the pasture in keeping with their heritage. As a result, visitors on any given day may or may not be able to view White Cloud or the rest of the herd. Their heritage is regarded as sacred, as is their right to roam.
