Firefighters, police officers, and all first responders who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 are remembered, along with first responders who continue to suffer and die from exposure to toxic elements. East Bridgewater native Craig J. Miller, a Master Special Officer with the United States Secret Service, died on September 11, 2001 when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York City, losing his life while rendering critical assistance as a first responder. Also honored are all victims and survivors in the World Trade buildings, the Pentagon, and the airline crews and passengers of American Flight 11, American Flight 175, American Flight 77, and United Flight 93.
