Thunder Lake Patrol Cabin is a small 1930 log structure in the Wild Basin area of Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. Measuring 12 by 16 feet, the one-room building likely began as a simple shelter and later served at times as a backcountry patrol cabin. Its gable roof, shed-roofed porch, and saddle-notched logs make it a compact example of National Park Service rustic design. Though not used in winter, it includes a stove and stone fireplace. Its importance lies in both its architecture and its connection to early park development and backcountry administration, recognized by its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
